This guide covers each of the Classic World bosses: its stats, the map it’s on and how to get there, and what kind of character should take it on. Every boss is on Victoria Island.

All six are marked as bosses, and all six attack first: they go after you on sight, not only once you hit them.
Mano
Mano is the lowest-level boss of the six: level 20 with 7,420 HP. For scale, the regular Stirge, also level 20, has 296 HP.
- Level: 20 · Max HP: 7,420 · Max MP: 30 · EXP: 148
- Attack Power: 252 · Weapon Def.: 20 · Magic Def.: 10
- Accuracy: 97 · Evasion: 13 · HP recovery: 74
Where: Thicket Around the Beach III, near Lith Harbor. Its portals lead to Thicket Around the Beach II and 3-Way Road-Split. The map also has Snails, Stumps and Orange Mushrooms.
Who should go: characters around level 20 will want a party. A character well above level 20 has a better chance alone.
Stumpy
Stumpy is level 35 with 19,220 HP. It has both Attack Power and Magic Attack stats.
- Level: 35 · Max HP: 19,220 · Max MP: 150 · EXP: 276
- Attack Power: 477 · Magic Attack: 524 · Weapon Def.: 20 · Magic Def.: 10
- Accuracy: 114 · Evasion: 24 · HP recovery: 192
- Elements: resists Lightning, weak to Fire
Where: Parched Land, in the Perion area. You reach it from East Rocky Mountain V. Axe Stumps, Dark Axe Stumps, Jr. Boogie 1 and Jr. Boogie 2 are on the same map.
Who should go: a party in the mid-30s, or a stronger character alone. Fire attacks suit it, and Lightning attacks are resisted.
Mushmom
Mushmom is level 40 with 34,440 HP. Its monster type is Plant.
- Level: 40 · Max HP: 34,440 · Max MP: 200 · EXP: 340
- Attack Power: 532 · Magic Attack: 585 · Weapon Def.: 15 · Magic Def.: 15
- Accuracy: 130 · Evasion: 29 · HP recovery: 344
- Elements: weak to Fire
Where: Someone Else’s House, a Hidden Street map in the Henesys area. It connects to Pig Park II. Iron Hogs are on the same map.
Who should go: with over 34,000 HP, Mushmom is a long fight for one character around level 40. Bring a party.
Shade
Shade is a level 48 undead boss with 47,000 HP.
- Level: 48 · Max HP: 47,000 · Max MP: 250 · EXP: 488
- Attack Power: 620 · Magic Attack: 682 · Weapon Def.: 30 · Magic Def.: 10
- Accuracy: 138 · Evasion: 35 · HP recovery: 470
- Undead: yes · Elements: resists Poison, weak to Holy
Where: Cabin of the Forsaken, in the Kerning City area, reached from The Murky Swamp II. Nexon added The Murky Swamp II with the v1.0.0 update (Scheduled Grand Launch patch notes).
Who should go: a party in the high 40s. Holy attacks work well against it, and Poison is resisted.
Zombie Mushmom
Zombie Mushmom is an undead boss: level 55 with 66,640 HP, almost twice Mushmom’s HP.
- Level: 55 · Max HP: 66,640 · Max MP: 220 · EXP: 668
- Attack Power: 697 · Magic Attack: 766 · Weapon Def.: 10 · Magic Def.: 20
- Accuracy: 146 · Evasion: 37 · HP recovery: 666
- Undead: yes · Elements: weak to Holy
Where: The Grave of Mushmom, in the Sleepywood dungeon area. You get there from Ant Tunnel Park.
Who should go: a party in the mid-50s. Like Shade, it is weak to Holy.
Jr. Balrog
Jr. Balrog is the strongest of the six by far: level 80 with 325,400 HP. The highest-level regular monster on Victoria Island, the Taurospear (level 75), has 12,535 HP. Jr. Balrog’s monster type is Demon.
- Level: 80 · Max HP: 325,400 · Max MP: 500 · EXP: 2,188
- Attack Power: 972 · Magic Attack: 1,069 · Weapon Def.: 15 · Magic Def.: 15
- Accuracy: 163 · Evasion: 49 · HP recovery: 1,627
- Elements: immune to Poison, weak to Holy
Where: The Cursed Sanctuary, in the Sleepywood dungeon area. You reach it from Sanctuary Entrance IV, where Tauromacis and Taurospear are found.
Who should go: this is a party fight. Jr. Balrog is above the level of every regular monster on the island. Poison attacks do nothing to it, so Fire/Poison Wizards should lean on their other skills (see the Magician training guide for the 2nd job paths).
Preparing for boss fights
Every boss here has far more HP than the regular monsters around it, so fights last a while. A few things help:
- Stock up on potions. Most towns have a Grocer, and several of them talk about potions: Lucy in the Amherst Department Store, Mina in the Lith Harbor Department Store, Luna in the Henesys Department Store, Len the Fairy in the Ellinia Department Store, Dr. Faymus in the Kerning City Pharmacy and Arturo in the Perion Department Store.
- Use elements. Check the boss’s weaknesses above. Fire suits Stumpy and Mushmom, and Holy suits Shade, Zombie Mushmom and Jr. Balrog.
- Bring a party. A shared fight is easier than a solo one, especially against bosses at or above your level.
- Know the route. Each boss map above lists the map you enter from. Train on the nearby maps first so you arrive at the right level.
For where to level up between bosses, see the Training Spots by Level guide.
